JOB TITLE: Case Manager – Family Services

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direct supervision of the Family Services Program Director, the Family Services Case Manager works with parents on an individual basis, using evidence-based parenting curriculums to provide and individualized parenting training to natural, foster, and adoptive families virtually or within the home. Additionally, is responsible for oversight of supervised visitations within the Hopes Haven program. 
QUALIFICATIONS:A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, counseling or the equivalent of two years working with families and children. Demonstrated knowledge of ages and stages of child development, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence and its effects on families, parenting skills training and principles of adult learning are also required.  Must have excellent writing skills, be skilled in the use of computers, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.


  • Conducts program intakes and initial assessment of family needs addressing parenting education and/or supervised visitation. Refers to domestic violence advocates when necessary.
  • Exhibits understanding of child development and family dynamics.
  • Implements established curriculum.
  • Provides information on family dynamics and family systems.
  • Provides an understanding of domestic violence and the impact on family dynamics. 
  • Provides complete and accurate documentation of parenting classes as required.
  • Collaborates with community partners to provide appropriate services to families. 
  • Provides outreach to community partners.
  • Provides accurate documentation of visits and exchanges.
  • Provides a safe environment while not passing judgment on either party participating in Family Services Department programs.
  • Exhibits understanding and works in compliance with Family Support Council’s confidentiality policies while working with families.  
  • Seeks training for professional development as needed.
  • Completes accurate and timely monthly, quarterly or annual reports. 
  • Meets with supervisor on a weekly basis
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Programs Manager, Program Director or Executive Director.

-Generally indoors within a controlled environment.
-Occasional travel required to attend meetings, conferences, seminars, presentations, etc.
-This is a non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act
-Employees may be required to modify existing work schedules for flex hours in order to conduct evening individual served meetings or classes.
-As a condition of employment, employees may be required to utilize their private vehicles in the performance of their duties but will be reimbursed for mileage.
-Valid driver’s license required.
-Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
