Special Victims Response Team Advocate
The Special Victims Response Team (SVRT) Advocate will work conjointly with the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office and Sheriff’s office to collaborate on referrals of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Starting Salary Range $35K - $40K
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee and respond under the Special Victims Response Team (SVRT) grant.
Facilitate Case Management team meeting and follow-up on all issues of referrals and support
Advocate for sexual assault victims from exam through prosecution; provide court advocacy as needed.
Act as a liaison between the Law Enforcement community, the Judges/Courts, and the State/Local/Tribal representatives as needed.
Facilitate the compilation of Program data monthly and complete reports required by Grant funds.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in sociology, social work, education, counseling or related field and two years of experience working directly with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, stalking and harassment, preferred but not required.
Bi-lingual Spanish (preferred, not required)
40-hour Victims Assistance Training (VAT) required within 30 days of employment
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google based systems preferred.
